We went to story time today. For the summer they mostly just do really fun things. Today they made lima bean sprout necklaces. Put the bean and water soaked cotton ball in a small plastic zip lock. Then punch a hole and tie colorful yarn around. Now they can watch the beans sprout while they wear them. Then they made the Grass Heads. After decorating the cups they took a nylon panty hose (knee length) and put a tsp. of grass seeds and then about 1 1/2 cups dirt. Tie a knot after shaping your head. Then you put the knot with the long end of the hose in the bottom of the cup. We came home and soaked the dirt head and put a little water in the bottom of each cup. The lady said the water soaks up the hose to the top and waters your grass. After it gets really long, give your little guy a hair cut. I thought this was a really cute craft and the kids had fun making them. Cha Cha Cha Cheah!!!
