Can you break a $5?

Last weekend Randy and Grandpa Morrill got Great Grandma's truck very muddy. Justin, obsessed with trucks as he is, didn't like the muddy truck. While we were doing work on the garden at Grandma's house yesterday, Randy pulled out the hose and sprayer and let the kids hose the truck down. They of course love doing this and every time Randy washes his own work truck they get to help. They get out the rags and soap and really scrub the blue truck and it was very shiny and clean when they were done. Great Grandma paid Justin $5 and told him he needed to split it with Ashley for helping out. When we got home I noticed Justin was carrying the 5 dollar bill and a pair of scissors. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Splitting the $5 dollars with Ashley." "Sorry, you can't cut the $5, you have to have the bank break the $5 for you." So dissapointed. It was late Saturday and he will have to wait until Monday to get his $2.50.

Good thing you got to him before he "split" it in half! :) What a good brother!

The things kids think, it is so simple to them.
